I have data that has been imported either Tab or Space deliminated and when I try to do a formula to SUM the #s in one column....it doesn't recognize the numbers.

I have tried to reformat.

HELP!!

Thank you,

Try multiplying all cells in that column by 1.

Hi,

Your data in that column has been IMPORTED as TEXT.

Either import that column as General or

create a new column and reference the numeric text column
Code:
=VALUE(A1)
Then you can copy that column and paste it back into the original column with Edit/Paste Special-Values
