In version 11, somehow I've gotten my field explorer dialog box out of position on the right and when I try to put it back it either goes all the way across the page or just sits on top of my report. I've looked it up in the help, but it's not much. Anybody?

Try double-clicking the grey title area where it says 'field explorer'.
It should undock. Then you can drag it back to the left and it should dock in place without becoming stuck.
If that doesn't work, under help, try "dock", although I'm not sure what would be wrong that wouldn't just be solved by the above.
