I have a Fiber remote that prints off the following information when I do an FNET sl in Ld 33. I am receiving an RX alarm on both the primary and secondary packet under the ALM_EOI column.
FNET:8 ENABLED LOCKED
PACKLETS: F/W STATE ACTIVITY ALM_LVL ALM_EOI
PRIMARY: ENABLED RCV NO ALARM RX
SECONDARY: ENABLED IDLE NO ALARM RX

The remote is operational. Does anyone have any ideas what may be causing this alarm?

you could have a marginal card on either end as well as a fiber that is either a little hot or cold.. it almost has to be something that is just on the limit for it to test clear and still take hits.. might check the website for patches for those error codes

John,
Thanks for the reply. When we speak of marginally card are we talking about the packlet cards or the controller card or both?

it will turn out to be one end but trying to islolate the problem to the card with no more symptoms will be a problem.. because of who i work for i would have both cards on hand.. in some cases price may limit that..
