we have WS-X6724-spf module on our 6500 swich.
we'll use two kinds of transceivers--
GLC-SX-MM and GLC-LH-SM;

We'll use fiber to connect like this:

6500--fiber junction point--4000; where two links are all fibers.

my questin is between 6500 and fiber junction point, what kind of cable sould i use? and what kind of junction point should i use? how about the other link?

the detailed info would be helpful.

thanks.

M.B.

for the SX interfaces... you can use either 62.5 or 50 micron fiber... all depends on what you want to use and fiber manufacturer you want to use. The junction box would depend on the number of strands you are going to use. They come in several different configurations. Just make sure you use the appropriate fiber type. The connectors on the box can be SC, LC, even BNC. It all depends on what you prefer.

Thanks guys, you are really helpful.
