Fedora 2 linux with dual Processors

I have a dual processor PC running Fedora 2 on it. How do I get Fedora to recognize the second CPU?

I think I need to recompile the kernel with SMP support. I'm kinda new to linux. I can't even find the kernel file.
Any help would be great.
