I need to write a 9 chr file name e.g. 123456789.dta from a Clipper program. How/can I do this?

There is a function that permits a clipper app read/write long file names (if you are running Win9x or ME).

Well, put simply, it allows your DOS based Clipper executables to use Windows '95 long filenames. You simply link in the supplied library and your program will automatically support Win95 long filenames.

If you want to try it, download from:
Select Clipper Stuff and then look for LongNsmes

Tell us how it works...
