The FAXA prompt is an odd one and yes, it was something that was used with Euro ISDN 30e circuits. In the early days, it caused more problems as shown in the two records I have below.
Fax machine unable to dial out, when connected to a 500 port, on rlse 23, 22 & maybe 21? Getting 'Service Incompatible for set' or something similar.
Check 500 sets TN for CLS FAXA. Should be FAXD. Applies to Rlse 23, Rlse 22 & maybe Rlse 21.
Customer reported that their FAX machines were getting a message back from the exchange saying 'service incompitable'. When the dass monitor was activated and a outgoing call traced, following the ISRM I instead of 10 signifying 64K voice call was an 18, this we think indicates a 3.1K bearer call, (for use over euroisdn?). Changing the CLS for the fax TN to FAXD, restored the 18 to 10, hence letting the fax machine dial out.

SLT figures for configured Analogue sets don't match ISM.
Analogue sets (500 2500) with a CLS of FAXA don't show in the ANALOGUE TELEPHONE SLT figures. Applies around the release 25.xx time of issue.
Site with 15 configured 500 sets only showed 2 USED ANALOGUE TELEPHONES. When the sets were listed 13 of them had a CLS of FAXA (Fax Allowed)
From Rls 25 software a 500 set with a CLS of FAXA is classed as a DATA PORT.
So the real total for Analogue sets would be the sum of the DATA PORT & ANALOGUE TELEPHONE SLT figures.
Unfortunately DATA PORTS aren't usually listed when the SLT figures are printed. This is because DATA PORTS are always set to the maximum possible available i.e. 32767 when a Keycode installation is done.
To be able to see DATA PORTS a Key code upgrade will need to be done to reduce the Data Ports to less than 32767
