We would like a simple fax server which receives incoming faxes from 2 fax lines and also has the capability to send outgoing faxes from client computers.
I have looked into Fax Services but there is no client interface. The faxes can be simply put into a shared folder as *.tif files and must be opened up to view. We are looking for a client interface which gives an alert on the computer when new faxes are received, allows previewing of the fax, and has an inbox, trash, etc. We do not need any fancy features such as Email-2-Fax or fax routing.
I have Small Business Server 4.5 although I have Windows 2000 Server installed. Are there any Fax Services in SBS 4.5 that would work for what we want to do? If not, are there any 3rd party programs which are inexpensive and would accomplish the same thing? I have tried FaxMaker by GFI software but it does not support USB modems.
