Hi guys,

Newbie here... Very newbie at this phone stuff LOL First I want to say thank you for these forums. I found lots of info. But...

I have to program a fax so that the faxes enters directly in our email system.

I followed the instructions that were left to me :

1. Create conference in our email system... Done. Works.
2. Cancel the existing fax line in the Succession. Done : LD 32 disable the TN. works.
3. Add the DN to the conference. Done. works.
4. Create an ACDN for this fax. LD 23. Done works.
5. Create a new ANALOG line for the fax (the machine)... Tried LD 10...

This is were it crashes. Because the DN is an ACDN it reports a conflict.

If any of you have any idea I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you and have a great day !

helen507...make your dn on the analog port to another
extension number then go back to ld 23 and put the analog
extension as your dfdn.

Wouldn't the "new" analog DN be defined in the NCFW prompt in LD 23......

So Helen507, try this;
REQ: prt
TYPE: ludn
CUST 0
DN

CUSTOMER 00 - UNUSED DNS:
10 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 190 191
192 1931 1932 1933 1934 1935 1936 1937 1938 1939
194 195 196 197 198 199 2032 2033 2034 2035
2036 2037 2038 2039 204 205 206 207 208 209
2132 2133 2134 2135 2136 2137 2138 2139 2140 2141
2142 2143 2144 2145 2146 2147 2148 2151 2152 2153

Choose a non DID for the new fax extension, so let's say 2153. Build the analog fax with 2153 as the ext. The go to LD 23. Build a new ACD with the DID extension you need, MAXP 1. Return down to NCFW prompt and enter 2153.

That should do it for you....

Helen,

Do what Eddie stated and it will work. What you are creating is a Dummy ACD.

MAXP = Maximum Number of Agent Positions.
NCFW = Night Call Forward DN for ACD calls (up to 23 digits)

What you are setting up is an ACD with one user, so it will always default to the NCFW number. It is a good way of redirecting extensions.

Got me curious,,,

What kind of fax machine are you using, does it connect to your network and send incoming faxes to your email address. Is step 1. an email address named Conference??

Hi guys,

Thak you so mcuh for your suggestions. I will try them for sure !

To answer Grumpyone60 : it is an old fax machine (haven`t seen it yet) it does not connect to our network. Our email system is FirstClass and they created a fax account with subconferences in that account.
