Morning.

Trying to see if the VM Pro will do fax on demand, ie, we want users to be able to call in, enter their fax, and receive an automated fax from our system of certain info. On the Magix with DuVoice VM, this was possible, but nothing I see in the exercises or docs suggest this is possible. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

While I am at it, is there a SIMPLE way to do overhead and handset paging without all the mess I see in some of the other posts?

Thanks,
Michael

What type fax server and o/s running the fax server. For paging overhead, we always use Valcom and hook it strait up to an analog line port, and for station paging we put everyone that needs to be paged in a hunt goup and have dial paging on an extra button. We use an analog station port for night bell and build a special *0 short code to pick up the call.

We have a Netsatisfaction fax-application load balanced over two servers in two sep colo facilities. Running W2K Server, SP4.

Valcom, ok. How is their pricing?

I will check to see what you can do with vmpro and your fax server. Valcom has a great website with models and prices. I am both Valcom and Bogen certified. For small whses and offices I use Valcom. For real large apps I use Bogen. But, Valcom usually is the best bet for IP Office because you don't need all the extra equipment for amps and such.

Mike,

So far I haven't found anything yet. I've been setting up your scenario in my lab and can't get it work with the database options. I'll try a little longer, maybe someone will see this and come up with something.

If you have no final resolution, you could always look into the Object World CAO voicemail. It has Fax on Demand and fax server built in. It would also work side by side with the VM Pro or standalone with the IP Office. Normally I am not big on product recommendations, but we resell this item and have pretty good luck with it.
