Reading the question concerning FTR EHT issue is2teli posted reminded me of this. Could someone post an example of port 16-31 programmed for use with the analog adapter on a 39XX series phone?

I have had various cases of fax machines failing on certain analog ports, but working on a standard 1FL from SBC. However, the most recent cases were cured by moving them to other ports/cards. I assume the issue is due to some older vintage cards or something. I've never done a precise analysis of this, but will be paying attention to it in the future.

I purchased the analog adapter and was attempting to approach it from that direction but ran into some issue programming it, got busy, and haven't gotten back to it. Using the adapter would alleviate some upcoming problems I see next month.

i don't get to bring my switch home but you program the soft side just like the related tn.. if 4 0 0 0 is a 2008, the 4 0 0 16 needs to be a 2008.. i haven't seen any other problems

I just finished wiping out 15 agents and rebuilding them and am doing a TNB download at this moment.

I don't think I understand what you mean by the associated port being the same device. I do understand the port associative part, as that is a given. Do you mean if say 4.0.00.00 is a 3904 you program 4.0.00.16 as a 3904 and the analog adapter just acts like a "3904 type" analog phone? I'm having some trouble following that. Help me out here John :)

BTW, I am now studying aspect scripting. Thanks for the tips. I'll get it down here shortly I think.

yes you can't program type 500 on the digital port. so although your building an analog interface the type must match the leading port

Does using an analog adapter on a 39XX series phone let you use a Modem to dial out and if so how.

yes it picks up key 0 on the soft tn for that set. i don't have them on this site but a former customer must have had 200 in use. saves on adding jacks and buying analog cards
