Not sure if we just have a faulty batch or if there is a wider issue, but we have just received 4 IP500 Systems which won't boot with the SD cards they came with.

Have formatted and recreated them in manager but i dont get any ping reponse from either lan port.

Have tried AT-X'ing the units with the cards in but no joy, the systems just go straight into loader each time and reboot continuously (was doing this prior to at-x)

The systems boot up ok using old spare SD cards... Got 4 new ones from a differenct distributor arriving today so we will see if that gets them working...

Pcs 18 which came on 9.1.0.0.437

Terminal just shows the system trying to load the SD card but then reports powerfail:ignore load count and reboots

What line/extn cards are fitted? There needs to be something in it :)

What loader version does it show when it boots? I think it was 1.35 for 9.1. It is 1.40 for 10.0. If it is lower than 1.35 you may need to do a stepped up grade to get it to the right loader.

Praying the new sd cards fix the issue when they arrive!

No , you can recovery it.
Done it once but you have to put it on older software and then you can do the stepped upgrade again.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

So just recreate the sd card using an old version of manager or use AT-x with old ip500 bin file? What version are we talking?

Before you get to deep down the rabbit hole, the loader version should be one of the first lines of the DTE print out. Still digging in the release notes to see if I can see when it changed. Just remember having this problem when the loader was off, it didn't allocate enough memory to load and would be stuck in a boot cycle.

Have just done AT-x using a 9.0.8 bin file and we have lift off! (I think) certainly doing more than it did (flashing lights on phone2 card and lots of data in Tera term) but I'm not sure if it's doing loops...

We're all good! Thanks guys. I'm guessing I'm ok to just do a normal upgrade through manager to latest 9.1 now?

Yes Sir.
