Any one else seen this?

We have been forced to downgrade our IP Office back to 4.2.49501.

After upgrading to 4.2.11 we had a major issue with the IP Office.

After a period of time (a couple of hours) the IP Office would almost stop responding to the LAN1 port.

We first noticed it from a new 1608 handset when it stopped responding to input and then came up discover xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (IP Office)

All IP handsets the same. Digital keeps on working and SIP still works fine out of the WAN (LAN2) port

Trying a continuous ping only about 80% responded to.

Login from Manager fails.

Reboot and everything is fine again.

Nothing else on network affected but replaced switch and patch leads without any change.

Tried reloading 4.2.11 which was very difficult, but no change

Played on and off all weekend with it.

Everything is fine after a downgrade (which took almost an hour) except now my 1608 doesn't work :)

Been running 4.2.11 since it was released. Have logged in many many times, no problems here. I use a 5620 all is fine.

Mine was running fine for two days until I added the 1608.

Did you upgrade the 1608 ?

Yes the 1608 was upgraded.

We have upgraded to 4.2.11 again and whilst the system works when the 1608 is not on the system the voice is positively awful. Downgrade to 4.2.4xxxx and the voice is perfect.

Are the 1608 trail phones or are they the from new series?

Trail Phone have a license and need an extra step for upgrading because of different memory.

PLEASE NOTE: If you were a participant of the original 4.2 field trials with 1600 series telephones please be aware of the following:

The currently available 1600 series telephones have different memory components which are not supported with the original 1600 firmware supplied as part of the original 4.2 beta trial. Therefore, if you intend to use any additional 1600 telephones you must ensure that the HTTP server is updated with the 1600 firmware contained in the 4.2(101106) (or later) release before attaching any additional 1600 telephones to your system. Failure to do this could result in your 1600 telephone becoming unrecoverable, because it has downgraded using the original 4.2 field trial firmware. This potential issue only affects systems which may still have the original 1600 firmware on the HTTP server from the original 4.2 field trial. No 1600 series software was shipped with the 4.2(4) GA release.
The following files need to be copied to the root of the file server, they are located on the IP Office Admin CD in “\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Manager”

We are running both an IP500 and a 406v2 on 4.2.11 with 1600 series sets without issue.

I have a 1616 and it has been working great on the beta release. now that i have upgraded to 4.2.11 the quality is gone way down. the handset is ok but the speaker sounds horrible and people on the other end complain about it.
