I get this message every time I try to use my scanner:-fatal exception OE at 0028:COO5448F in VXD VDMAD(01) + 000006f7
I tried reinstalling the drivers but it still wont work!
can anyone help me out on this one?

my pc was custom built for a friend a few years ago, I will tell you what I can
ITD winchip 2-3D running at 240Mhz
64mb ram
early version of windows 98
scanner is a tamarack artiscan 6000c
I hope this helps you,

To be honest I think the Winchip is the problem here.The artiscan scanner is a decent scanner. The error sould be caused by the lack of support for the processor. James Collins

Im not sure, it has worked on this pc before, but for some reason it no longer works

you mean for the scanner? I looked every where for drivers for the scanner, even tamaracks website didnt have them!!
