I am running Win98SE. I've recently installed Norton Antivirus 2004. I always run my virus scans in safe mode. Whenever I do, after a few minutes I got this error:
A fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0012:C00078C0 in VXD VMM(01) + 000068C0.
I got that one a few times. I ran all the windows updates, and tried it again. Now I get this error:
A fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C00078C0 in VXD VMM(01) + 000068C0.
The thing is, this only happens in safe mode. I can run a full scan with no errors or blue screens in normal windows mode. After this crash happens in safe mode, it takes about 5 minutes for auto-protect to start working in normal mode as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
