Fatal Exception 0E at 0028:3FD3676E

I installed Yahoo messenger recently and ever since my system has been unstable. When I try to load Internet Explorer, I get the blue screen and an error that says Fatal Exception Error 0E at 0028:3FD3676E. When I hit enter, I get another blue scree that says Fatal Exception Error 0D (i think) at 0246:014F47FB.

When I hit enter again, the program terminates and I car return to my other applications.

This one is driving me NUTS! Is there a diagnostic tool I can download?

I'm running a HP Pavillion 8650C with additional memory added.

Can you reload IE?

I never get IE to load completely. Often the system becomes unstable from this point on.

Any clues?

uninstall yahoo messanger ? If in doubt get the Ball Pein Hammer out

Is that a joke? Or a technical nuance that I am missing?

Either way, I feel stupid.
