What is the concensus and the benenfits of using ntfs over fat 32???

Fat32 has a file size limit of 4Gb so if your are doing anything that requires large files (Ie. Video Capture) you'll hit that limitation very quickly, also NTFS is far more secure, the data cannot be read off the disc as easily.

This might provide you with some insights into the advantages of NTFS over FAT32.

Please let me know if the advice I give is of use.

When you have to choose always go with NTFS. unless you are using win 3.X/95/98/ME on the same system.

NTFS is a faster File system and less likely to have file coruption and file fragments. If there are any back disc blocks it marks them so the OS doesn't write to them.

NTFS all the way.
