You asked: my hard drive repartioned itself how did this happen? in system tools it say that window managed swap file on drive c (2149 mb free) then it say available space on drive c (2149mb free) of 4102 mb (fat 32) i don not have the fat 32 program installed [sig][/sig]
 
At the point your hard drive was last partitioned and formatted large drive support was enabled and the FAT was written as 32 bit.
Once that was done you will get the FAT32 report any time FAT parameters are requested.

Most of the brand name recovery CD has the problem like that.. IS it an IBM machine thet will put the first partions as FAT16 and rest as FAT 32.. is it the cas???? [sig][/sig]
