FastEthernet Hang

Dear All :
I have a 2691 Router , and The Fastethernet is connected to a 8 ports HUB , and this hub is connected to a PIX Firewall.

Suddenly I face a hang on the ethernet !
I connect to the router by console , and I can see that the Interface is UP , and the protocol is UP ..
But I can't do any Activity through this Inerface !

by shutting down the interface , and re-enable it .. everything goes Right !!

Any Idea !

Note : This error happened before , and I did switch to the other Fastethernet !

Are you noticing a high cpu utilization on your router? Could be IRC relay worm doing DOS attack on your network

Trying Switching out the hub with 8 port switch.

i need to use the HUB ,because I am connecting my IDS on it ..
and also Sometimes I am making some sniffeing ..
