Fast way to Delete Message by Date

I am running GroupWise 5.5 and I would like to delete a large number of messages based upon dates. Is there a fast way to delete these messages. I tried to simply select them and delete them but it seems like it is taking forever to delete the messages. I would like to delete them based upon dates if possible - Looking for some help!!!

Are you trying delete any messages that are older than a certain amount of time? If so, you could have your admin perform maintenance on your mailbox using GWCheck and expire/reduce messages older than a certain age.

However, using this method there is no way to save certain messages if they are older than the specified amount of time.

On second thought, you could archive the (old) items you want to keep and then have your admin expire/reduce your mailbox. Afterward you could unarchive the messages. That should work.

Or go to the client's Tools/Options/Environment/Cleanup dialog box and set auto-deletes if your deletion needs fit the "Delete after x number of days" scenario. Then log out, back in and this should trigger the deletion ( I think).
