My FAQ on how to get VFP to print detail in the first cell of a multi-column report with a group by and horizontal printing is now online at faq184-4657

BPeisch,

I had no idea, thanks for the head's up on the issue. I have a question, what do you do if the report has the group header set to reprint group header at the top of each page?

I haven't tried to print a report of this type with a new group header on each page, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. After all, whenever it tries to print the header, it will print a record from your detail instead, and then skip to the next record.

BTW, one thing I didn't mention in the FAQ is that you can't use a real group header with this technique--there's no place for it to print! (I think I'll add that...)
