Failure to connect SQL Server 7.0 from DOS clients

Attempt to connect to SQL Server 7.0 from MS-DOS clients using DBMSSPX.EXE sometimes fails but sometimes succeeds.<br>
<br>
In failure case, error messages as follows are displayed on the client and server side respectively :<br>

Client side -<br>
DB-library error 10010:network possible error, unable to reade from SQL Server<br>
Server side -<br>
invalid login packect sent<br>
<br>
<br>
Additional Information :<br>
network library : nwlink ipx/spx<br>
network protocol : ipx/spx<br>
client application : foxpro 2.5 for DOS <br>
