Failed to start up database engine - Error 4101

Hi all,

I have deleted a fex days ago the db pruning job i try to find it but unfortunately i create a purge database job. After that i realized that i couldn't start the database engine so i can't restore files from tapes but i can save. I reboot the server and finally find the db pruning job in arcserve management and add it. But nothing changed.
I need help plz.
Arcserve is very bad with his databases.

Hi,

The purge job deletes all the files you have selected..
so all the DB related files are gone.. and you arent able to start the engine..

you can do 2 things now..

1. install ARCserve on a different machine..
copy the database folder from the new isntall over to
the existing ARCserve server.

2. Try performing a DBrecover

I'm trying a recover database i hope it will be good
I sent an email to e-support of Computer Associates but they don't answered me till now.

So the database restore did not work but i installed arcserve on another server and copy the database folder on my server and it's OK.
