In an effort to resolve this, I've eliminated everything from the report that I can, all headers, labels, etc, nothing but the data remains, except for one OLE Object in the Report Header which won't delete, nor can I move it with the mouse (The Size and Position works).

the error returned is the Failed to Save Document, and occasionally it will say Not Supported.

The linking is very complex in the report, using MANY tables, but it does run and return the proper data.

Any thoughts on how to remove the OLE Object or get the file to save?

I also tried exporting to Crystal Reports format of course with the same error returned.

I'd appreciate any thoughts.

Hi K.,

I've seen "not supported" messages related to embedded fonts.

What happens when you open the OLE object using another tool or another Crystal report?

Visual CUT & DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

I should have also mentioned that I tried deleting the section it's in as well, no Love.

I discovered that I can move the object by using th cursor, but that doesn't help eliminate it.

I guess the report is corrupt beyond recovery.

Well the embedded object still worked when opened externally, but it's too late, Crystal finally resolved itafter I moved another OLE Object alongside, highlighted them both and selected delete, then Crystal unceremoniously closed without saving.

I wonder if they'll ever trap errors properly, bloody annoying that they continuosly ignore this basic rule of coding and pop up AUDs (another useless dialog).

Thanks anyway, Ido.
