Failed connecting service

I am a totally new to veritas backup.

I am noticed the server was not seeing the drives and stated they were offline.

I changed the administrator password and restarted the machine. On restart I was able to login but when I click on the veritas backup exe I get asked to connect to the server. I have tried the administrator account and password and I am continuously not able to connect with the error " failed to connect to service "

Any help would be appreciated
