Extracting values from Excel

Hi,
I am new to coding in Excel so let me try to explain my problem. I have a excel sheet a sample of which is as follows:


Group : 200 - 4019 Compatible "want to extract 4019 from here"

Item : LAS54207 6 518
Item : LASCE4019C 1 62.45
Total for Group : 200 7 580.45 "Want to extract 7 from here

Group : 205 - 4019 Premium

Item : LAS58407 3 325
Item : LPL4019 2 196
Item : LSG4029 40 4768.62
Total for Group : 205 45 5289.62

Group : 210 - 4039 Compatible

Item : LAS54647 42 3574.8
Item : LASBC4039 49 3851.4
Item : LASCE4039C 15 1270.2
Total for Group : 210 106 8696.4

from the Group" 200 - 4019 Compatible cell I want to extract the 4019 portion. Some sort of string manipulation.
From the Total for Group: 200 I want the ist number which in our case is 7.
Want to do this for whole of the sheet.
I have experience in access programming but am totally new to Excel.
I hope I explained my problem
