Hi,

I am trying to extract the data in the user permissions area of CMS. The company want to do a clean up as there are many users on CMS who have access to all VDNs, Skills and vectors. I enter the user id and the list all but there is no option to copy the entire results so I could paste into excel or notepad or anything!. we are using CMS 16.

I have tried accessing CMS from Putty and using emulator 615 from ASA. I tried to print the list all results and its telling me I do not have a printer setup. Im not sure how comlpex it is to configure the printer in solaris or if that will give me what i need.
Thanks

I would use the ODBC link to CMS and extract the data using something like TOAD or even MSAccess.

However, in the past I would extract it by creating a bogus network printer then extracting the output from the CMS printer spool and importing it into Excel.

You can read about both methods here: thread690-1708194

I also attached a document I have from long ago when I did CMS administration on how to setup a network printer.
