Extra blank space in HTML

I have a gazilion empty lines in HTML and need to get rid of them quickly! They dont seem to affect the page but it makes finding code mistakes a huge endevour!

Any notion what could have caused these lines to appear (i didn't do it but a couple of people dabble with these pages so knowing the cause could be helpful....)

I don't know if you fixed the problem or not but from here your source code looks clean.

If you are having problems with the source code being full of spaces I would think that Commands/Cleanup HTML would do the job.

I have found the solution to my problem: I edit the page with homesite allaire. It has an option to replace all double spaces with single spaces. I did it several times and the whole thing took less than 3 minutes. Considering that this page had over 70,000 (yes seventy thousand) lines with the extra blank lines, and less than 1,000 without... this was a great time saver. I am still looking for the cause of the blank spaces. Suggestions are welcome!
