Hello,

I am hoping that someone can help me with this. I have a client with a Windows 2000 SBS. They have a registered internet Domain and the mail is being hosted by ValueWeb. I have configured the "Connector for POP3 Mailboxes" to check the shared account on the ValueWeb server and one POP account that is on a Valueweb POP account. This is working fine because I have the server setup to masquerade as their external domain.

The problem is attempting to email externally returns a a "#5.5.0 smtp;553 internaldomain.local does not exist" error if the user's primary email account is not an account in their external domain.

This problem is complicated by the fact that 4 users have Earthlink accounts. If I setup their Primary as their Earthlink account, the Exchange server attempts to forward the email to an earthlink server without success. (The POP Server would download the mail and THe SMTP SERVER attempts to deliver it back to the email account it just came from [POP Right Hand does not know what the SMTP Left Hand is doing] ).

I just need a way for the Earthlink users to receive their mail thru the server and be able to email externally.

I ended up solving this by creating an additional email account for external domain for each of the earthlink users and making it the primary account. Now Email is working fine.
