Hi friends!
We have a domain say "test.com".I configured an Exchange server for my local users so that they can get mails from each other locally ( I put the same name as that of our registered domain , say "test.com").But problem arise when they send mails to the user who is in remote location( i mean not local) then exchange does not deliver mail or route mail for that user to our original domain ( same "test.com") .I dont know how to make exchange know that the particular user is not local so route its mail ..?
pls help guys i need this urgently.
thanx

Let me make sure I understand, you have a domain, "test.com", with users whose addresses are "user@test.com", and you're trying to send external mails to another domain with the same "test.com" extension?

YES brontosaurus , you are right both domains are of same name and one is internal in my office and other is hosted somewhere in usa and using sendmail. In ofice i am using exchange and when i send mail to the users who are not in my office then exchange does not send it because it conseider user to be in its domain .Now how does i tell exchange to route this kind of mail to the other server i.e to the actual domain site.
hope u can understand. pls help me in this matter.
thanx

Oh boy...I don't think you can. Your best bet would be to give all your users new SMTP addresses, set them as primary, then tell your server that it's NOT responsible for mail delivered to "test.com". I think that would work.
