When I run dsrepair -a and check external references I am getting a high number of obits. avg 3000 - 8000. I then try unloading DS, loading then running dsrepair -OT and after a period of time the obits will clear but then will go back up after a couple of days. Usually there are around 30 to 100 when checking external references but in the last month or so it has crept up and stayed extremely high. Any suggestions?? Or is this something I should be worried about?

never a good sign
do you have a mixed ds?
do the obits appear on each server in ring ?

have you purged the obits?
do you have a dynamic or static tree?

you may have to xk3 some - this is easy enough just get it right its three not two

What's the best way to purge the obits? Have done xk3 with some success but these things keep creeping back. Static tree and ds is the same except for a CD server that connects to the tree but doesn't really have netware on it. It's been running about 3 years though. Obits vary on each server in ring but master replica is the heaviest and when it goes to low obits the others have them and when they get cleaned the master replica server gets heavy again.
