Anyone know the output of the external o/p port?

Thanks,
Phil

Do you mean the DTE port?!

No, the external o/p port on the back of the unit to open external doors. You use short codes to open one of two doors.

It is a dry "relay" port. If you are to anything useful with it you need to use it to control a real relay. The links provided will probably give you he specs of the conatcts.

What are you trying to do?

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Thanks B, I use the portal a lot but I could not find anything on the external port. Your link helped a bunch.

Matt,
Just opening the front door. Got the alarm guy to get a relay. going to test and troubleshoot today.

Be aware...

when the IP office reboots the contacts pulse. Whilst it is a small thing... It does represent a security issue.

In general we use a Pantel head unit that you send DTMF to to release the door.

yeah, i use the pantel all the time, all in 1 solution, never get a days problem.

The contact on the older systems also had some bleeding issues, meaning that if you were connected to a very touchy relay it would view the contact as closed when it was acctually open. Started to use the Bogen door opener after that.

We got it to work wired to the alarm keypad using the 'request to enter' contacts. It works well. Thank to all.
