I have a PRI configured for NI2. We have always been able to see the exernal line ID. We just subscribed to caller ID and I am unable to see the name of the external caller. Here is a snapshot of my RDB and D-CH configuration. Do I to add ND2 to RCAP? As long as I am configured for IFC = NI2, I am unable to add ND2 to RCAP. I turned on messaging for the inbound D-Channel, but I never saw any names.

look at the rcap on your d, and you might want to go to ld 96 and enl msgi x on that d to make sure your getting names

Try changing your CO_Type type to 'CO_TYPE ATT' on the dch.

RCAP COLP NDS.. my bad, read the post during a conf call you've got name display, nds, is nd2 and nd3 still an option? not at work with the books.. type att may be all that is needed, but until i verified via ld 96 i wouldn't make a lot of changes.. trmb yes is not causing that problem but it can cause other problems.. when you bring one up, i've seen that cause it to not auto establish.. if you see that, turn it off..

I was unable to add nd2 to the rcap. I think it is because the ifc = ni2. I am connected to a DMS switch. I thought that if I am connected to a DMS, I use type = std and if it was a 4e/5e, type = att. Is this a correct assumption? When I try to add nd2, I get an error sch0531 which states:

Unable to match input with stored mnemonics. The RCAP prompt in overlay 16 has been answered NDS when QSUr QSIG GF are not accessible or with an inappropriate interface configured
(e.g. Sl 1).
Action: Reconfigure accordingly.
Severity: Info

I did not see an rcap prompt in the RDB.

I contacted the Carrier and after some time it all of a sudden started working.

it's strange how they never have a problem but then it gets well.. at least they are all alike.. that's why i always enl msgi x in 96, i need to see the names on the pipe before i start changing software
