I want to use Flash to make an interactive art gallery. However I don't want a really large and slow loading flash file on my site. So my question is this; can I use flash to load .jpg's from an external source? i.e my complied flash movie loads in a jpg from images/pic01.jpg . Basicly much in the same way as HTML loads its images. If this is not possable can any one think of a crafy way round so I don't have to include all my images in the final .swf

I hope this made some kind of sense.

Thank you for your time
Andrew

Flash MX will allow you to dynamically load pictures at run time. Otherwise, you could allways stack your pictures in different gallery external .swfs and only update those when needed, rather than you main interface. Regards,
