I am installing an Avaya Ip office in an existing business. They do not want to change extension numbers. I can change the extensions, but I am having problems with a couple of existing extensions. I have 1 combo card 1 analog daughter trunk card, 3 ds cards. My problem is with the two analog ports. When I renumber 100-131, start 500, extension 514 and 515 are the analog ports and are number used by current ds phone users. In the old system 544 and 543 were the analog units. I have 510 and 511 open in the renumbered system. The renumber under tools will not let me renumber 510 and 511 to 514 and 515 respectively. If it would 514 and 515 would come free for analog devices. I am losing it, or just stupid. Do i have to try to renumber two or three different times. 100-108, renumber, 110-131 renumber, and change extensions...Thanks

Just change them manually in Manager

The renumber tool sucks in basic and you can't manually renumber extensions. Move extensions in small batches, 1-2 extensions, to open up the extensions you want and then renumber to those. It sucks but its the best you can do with basic.

IE I have 2 combocards. I want my analog to be 290-293 and digital to be 201-212. I renumber 106 and 107 to 290-291 then 111 and 112 to 293-294. Then you can renumber the rest to 201-212.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

THANKS, DID THEM IN SMALL BATCHES, GOT IT TO WORK.....
