Extension not Covering when Bridged

If I have an extension which is bridged on another set, the call does not get covered to voicemail even when the coverage is set up properly. I think there is a flag in the system somewhere to cover or not to cover when bridged. Has anyone ever encountered this problem and know what the cause is?

Example: If my line is bridged on your phone and someone calls me, it will ring on both phones but will not go to my voicemail if no one answers.
