I have windows 2000 SP4. I had an array of 3 hard drives configured for raid 5. We were running out of disk space so we added 3 more physical drives. In disk management we have Disk 0(Origingal Basic Disk) with two data partitions (1 for the OS and the other for Data). When i added the other 3 drives disk management had another disk called Disk 1(3 new harddrives)and has 100 GB of free space. How can I extend the Disk 0 to Disk 1 to make it one drive. Any help greatly appreciated.

thanks

If your server is a Dell, Dell has a neat utility that will extend your partition without any trouble at all. Called... wait for it... extpart.exe.

Otherwise, you will need to use the array controller configuration utility that came with your system. It cannot be done from the Windows Disk Management utility.
