I have several Windows 2000 servers that have a single 16G hard drive.
I have 32G hard drives thatI would like to put in place and use software mirroring.
The drives are presently on Basic disks.
Is there any safe way to extend the partition of the original drives?
One of the machines I would like to do this on is the PDC emulator and RID master, so I need to do something safe.
I have looked into mirroring onto the 32G drive in slot 1, breaking the mirror, then puting another 32G drive in slot 0 and re-establishing the mirror.
This will work, but I end up with 2 16G partitions on the mirror set and not able to resize the partition because it is a boot partition.
Anyone done this?
