ext2 used e2label.. how about ext3?

to change the label on an ext2 filesystem .. we used the following

e2label /dev/hda1 /newname

how about to change the label for ext3?? plsss help me

As far as I know ext3 is ext2 compatible. Can't you use e2label for ext3 too?
