I am exporting a query to word and it is truncating memo fields to 255 characters. Is there anyway to avoid this?

Using office 2010

I think that 255 characters is the limit for text fields. So it sounds like Word is converting the Memo field to text.

Are you exporting it to a table format then, within Word, or how else are you exporting it?

I'd wonder if Word can handle doing a memo format in a table, since Word tables are pretty simple/basic compared to Access or Excel.

Also, are you sure you need to export to Word in the first place? If you're trying to do a report, why not send the query to a report within Access, and print from there - or else export the report as a Word doc, perhaps that'll be the best option?
