THE EXPORTING TO TAPE FUNCTION IS NOT ACTIVE WHY?

Your movie has to be rendered or "made" before you can export it. Once outputed, your movie will come up in it's own window, and then you can export it!

HOW DO I KNOW IF PREMIER IS ONLY A TRY OUT SOFTWARE

If you have a "try-out" version, you will be warned when the program loads. When using a "try-out", you can do most of the stuff but you cannot save any of your work!
