Anyone know if you can export a report to pdf using the cryst32.ocx control?

I am launching a crystal report from VB and need to export the report to pdf.

Any Ideas???

Not supported. The OCX is old and has not been updated since about v6 and PDF was only supported in v8.5

Got Crystal Ease?

I think you could also bypass the export and print to the Acrobat distiller. If I understand this process correctly this creates a virtual printer that you can print to from any application to create your PDF. It isn't free, though.

Also,

I think you can use the PDF export dll with the v8.5 OCX. At least it worked for me when I just tried it.

My bad

I should have qualified my answer better. With the OCX control you can export to PDF, but not through code. It is only supported via the export button on the viewer.

This viewer will load the available recognized export drivers and list them in the drop down.

The OCX itself has not been updated to add this functionality, meaning there is no constant for PDF.

What Ken and chelseatech suggested are also viable steps.
