Exporting report to html loses numeric fields

A created a report (in Crystal 8.5) which exported to html perfectly, but found it was build on the wrong file. I rebuilt it, and it looks fine in Crystal, but when I export it, all the labels and numeric field data appears in the web page, but the string fields have disappeared. If I export it to Excel, everything appears.

Doubtless it is some flag I have either set or unset, but it is driving me nuts! Any ideas?
