I'm trying to think out of the box here and wanted to know if what I am thinking can acutally be done.

I have a report that I created which breaks down customers' by classes. These classes go from A to Z.

I know that I can export the entire report into excel and then format it there.

But is there a way that if I have a worker that only does customers in class A to E, another does F to M and another that does N to Z to export these to 3 different spreadsheets?

I was also thinking about Page Breaks, but I don't know how to do that. I'm using crystal 8.5.

Any advice would help, thanks

First, get the report to group at level 1 on this super-grouping (area of responsibility).

You can then drill down to different areas or create a parameter that limits the report to one area at a time.

Alternatively, there are 3rd-party tools (see list at: that can automate the bursting process. My Visual CUT software lets you burst a single report to multiple excel files (one for each group level 1) or multiple sheets (tabs) within a single excel file.

- Ido

view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.
