I have a 1500 page pagermaker file that I have to convert back into WORD. Can I do this? What tools will I need? (besides WORD & Pagemaker!)

First: sorry about my poor english.

Second: you only need pagemaker:
You can export text in the RTF format (rich text format) with:
     >File >Export >Text, and chose RTF,
you must first place the cursor within the text. Word (and a lot of other programs, both in PC and Mac) can read RTF files, and RTF will keep your paragraph styles.

If you have a lot of text boxes, instead of saving each one separately, there is an "astuce": you can merge it all closing your publication, making a new one, and then doing >File >Place and choosing your original publication, it will create only one text box with all the original text, that you can export as RTF. Do not care about the "look" of the new publication when you perform the Place, what you need is the text, and you can rearrange it later with Word. You can have some problems if you have images or photos in the original publication, in that case save it with another name (to preserve the original) and delete all the images and photos, leaving only the text boxes.

Well, I hope it will be usefull tou you.
