Exporting for Version Control

I would like to be able to export each of the Access objects to an ASCII file.  However, when I choose Export... for a form, the results are just some -------- and maybe a little bit of text (a 1K file).  Is there a way to export this object so that I can use my version control software which only handles ASCII?
