How do I export a file and not get that white square background? I insert many clipart files into PowerPoint but unless I have a white background, I see a white background around my clipart.

Bring the file into PowerPoint, ungroup it (answer Yes to the question), select the white square and delete it. Regroup the object.

Also,
If you export as a gif you can opt for a transparent background.
