I have adobe distiller and writer on my computer. From Excel I can export directly to PDF but when I try to print to the distiller errors occur. At this stage of my work I do not want the PDF file but the eps file. I would rather not export the PDF and then convert to eps. I would much rather go to eps so that I can import the eps file into pagemaker.

From Microsoft excel is there any way to go to the distiller instead of directly to the PDF.
all help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

111011,

I see no one has yet come to your rescue, so perhaps there isn't a "straight forward solution".

Therefore, you might want to give the following a try. I don't have Adobe, but I tested this in CorelDraw and it worked, so I expect it should also work with Adobe.

Steps...

1) Add the Excel "Camera" icon to your toolbar.
a) Right-click on the toolbar area, and choose Customize.
b) Choose the "Commands" tab, and then click on "Tools".
c) Scroll down under "Commands" until you come to "Camera".
d) Drag the icon to one of your existing toolbars.

2) Highlight the range, and click the "Camera" icon (i.e. "take a picture").

3) <Alt> <Tab> to go to Adobe.

4) Edit - Past Special - and choose either: "Picture [Enhanced Metafile]" or "Microsoft Execel Worksheet". Pasting a "Link" is also an option.

5) Caution: Gridlines also get copied, so if you don't want gridlines, use Tools - Options - "View" tab, and de-select "Gridlines".

6) Another option, is to use this same "Camera" option to capture "disjointed" components of an Excel workbook, and place them onto ONE sheet. Then take a picture of that ONE sheet - for tranferring to Adobe.

I hope this is a workable solution. Please advise as to how you make out. :)
