Export to PDF results in black & white images

I am attempting to convert Pagemaker 6.5 docs to PDF. Everything works just great, except all images appear in black and white. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have read reams of documentation, tinkered for a week and no progress. I would really appreciate any assistance!

Lady: express reply: assign any COLOR printer to your page
(e.g. a HP type, even if you don´t have one) and use
Export to PDF with default settings (ADistiller, 72 dpi, for Screen,
New Computation, ZIP&JPEG Medium, Embed all fonts...).
