Export documents from sharepoint content database

Hello,
You can access the document libraries without having to export them from the content database. You can access a document library from windows by going to
\\url\name_of_document_library\
you can also add the above as a network place.
How come you want to export them from the content database and browse the files from a client instead of using SharePoint?
